William “Bill” Lewis, 75, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014.
He was a veteran of the Army National Guard, retired from Smiser & Carter, and a member of the German - American Club and American Legion Zachary Taylor Post 180.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Catherine Fogerty Carter; father, Lewis Carter and brother, Mark S. Carter.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Elizabeth “Liz” Schnell Carter; son, Scot Lewis Carter (Javier Cuellar Valencia); daughter, Beth Louise Ballard (Scott); sisters, Patricia A. White (James) and Cathy Jo Caswell (Brent) and grandchildren, Alicia Ballard Rademaker (Eric) and Rebecca Ballard.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 27, 2014 at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 7813 Shelbyville Rd. with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday at Highlands Family-Owned Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
