Obituary for Catherine Amelia Nagle Senn

SENN,
Catherine Amelia Nagle, 81, of Louisville, passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016.
Born in Paris, KY, she had a commitment to lifelong learning, obtaining degrees from Eastern Kentucky University and the University of Louisville. She taught in public schools and also served as a private tutor. Catherine was the former Executive Director of LDA of KY and the founder of The Learning Connection. As an active member of many educational and community organizations she was often recognized for her dedication and service for which she was grateful.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, David Franklin Senn; and parents, John Thomas and Mary Rourke Nagle.
Catherine is survived by her daughters, Mary “Amy” Senn, Margaret Senn, Elizabeth Senn-Alvey (Keith), Kate Senn, and Julia Senn-Reeves (Jay); grandchildren, Kate Ryan-Amankwaah (Addaie), Elaine Alvey (Patrick Johnson), Jason Ryan, Jacob Alvey, James Ryan, Rachel Claire Stires (Trevor), Lilly Burba, Madeline Alvey, Alexis Grace Tallmon, Erin Burba, Anderson Reeves, and David Reeves; and great-grandson, Benjamin Amankwaah.
Her funeral Mass will be at 2 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2016 at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1920 Newburg Rd. with a private burial held at a later date. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-7 p.m. at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd.
