Dear daughters, sons-in-law and delightful (baker's) dozen, I don't even have the right words yet. My heart goes out to each of you today. Recently I read that grief will wane and memories will become more vivid. I look forward to this, because I cannot shake the encompassing sadness I feel now. Huge loss. Huge. Catherine was engaged and active until the very end of her days with us. Such an inspiration she is. And I'm so grateful she extended to me the many, many kindnesses over the years. Many good times and lots of laughs (and leftovers)! My world is emptier today. But, I'll figure it out and work to honor my friend always. Much love to each of you.
