We first met Jay and Shirley this year the Sunday evening after the Derby. AJ, our son, was taking pictures for HRE Wheels, and we talked and visited with Jay and Shirley at Bowman Field for about 5 hours. I had never had the opportunity to come across anyone like Jay. He and Shirley made it seem like we had been friends for a long time. I joked with my son after we left, that Jay was my best new friend. Shirley, we know that your heart is broken and heavy, but please find comfort in your faith and know that we all feel like we have lost someone very special.
