Jay was a wonderful person who I am honored to have worked for, over a period of many years and in several programs. Whenever I met anyone in the industry and told them I worked for Gordon-Darby they always told me when and where they last saw Jay, what they talked about, and went on to praise him. This is because every time anyone interacted with Jay, they left happier and with a more positive outlook. He made everyone feel better about themselves even though he was the smartest person in the room, regardless of which room he was in. Jay led his business with impeccable integrity always asking, what is the right thing to do? He never committed us to anything that could not be done, and done well. Jay was the ultimate role model. I very frequently explained to my children what Jay had done and why, as lessons in business morality and ethics.
